Biography for Bradley Martin

Bradley Martin’s understanding of the Internet, Telecommunications and Finance fields uniquely position him to support the convergence of data and voice technologies with a particular sensitivity to cost.  By managing multiple telecommunication, software and hardware suppliers for a $1.5 billion Internet provider he bridged the gap between the finance and technical teams.  The support Bradley provided was to comprehensively negotiate commercial terms to meet the needs and expectations of both Operations and Finance.

With over 12 years experience in the Internet and Telecommunications field, Bradley thrived working with multiple business units, pulling together vendor relationships spanning narrow-band, broadband, wireless, value-added services, small to medium enterprise and voice products.  With a strong understanding of process management and the technologies required he was able to drive down cost year after year. Over the span of his work Bradley has been directly responsible for reducing costs by over $100 million.

Bradley’s ability to build strong and principled business relationships with telecommunication, software and hardware providers allows him to effectively manage disputes.  In a single incident he took a $2.1 million shortfall dispute and created a $150,000 benefit.  He has developed the reputation in the Telecommunications and Internet industry as being a person of action and understands the value of treating vendors, clients and everyone else with a sense of fairness and decency.  In his work Bradley believes in win-win negotiating; striving to sustain equitable and sincere working relationships.   

Bradley’s most recent project was a key contributor to the success of the EarthLink Voice business unit.  He managed to pull together all the necessary hardware, software and network agreements in an accelerated time frame.  This allowed EarthLink to launch a completed voice product in less than nine months.  His continued efforts after the product launch lead to improved processes and call routing; in so doing he realized an additional 25% decrease in EarthLink's operating expenses.
